Help in obtaining the e-Visa

Since 30 April 2023, all nationalities (except Chad, Central African Republic, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Mali), must apply for their e-Visa online. Only entry by air is possible in Yaoundé or Douala, for the time being. Embassies and consulates no longer issue visas.

Only the following do not need any visa to enter the country:

To apply for an eVisa, a ordinary passport is compulsory.

Please note, only the Cameroonian authorities website can issue electronic visas for Cameroon.. Beware of other sites claiming to be able to “issue” these visas. Private intermediary agencies can help you obtain them – for a fee – but are in no way responsible for granting or refusing publication.

For a travel to Cameroon, a visa will be required. The price of the e-visa starts at €167.00, excluding processing fees.

With your eVisa you can stay up to 180 days in the country (depending on the authorisation issued). It is compulsory for all nationalities (except those exempted - see above). We advise you to apply for a visa at least 5 days before your departure. This eVisa allows you to enter the territory only by airway.

An option to obtain an "express" visa in 24 hours exists, but we are not yet offering it until the administrative systems are able to meet these demanding deadlines.

When to go to Cameroon

From November to February, there is a dry season in Yaoundé, Cameroon's political capital, and this period is advisable for travelling around the country. In the south of Cameroon, many travellers go all year round to enjoy the hot and humid climate all year round.

Located in the department of Moungo on the Nkam river, Ekom Falls fall from 80 meters high into a magnificent jungle setting.

The Dja wildlife reserve is one of the wettest, largest and most protected forests in Africa. Remarkable for its biodiversity, it is home to 107 species of mammal.

Located in the far north of the country, Waza National Park, recognised by UNESCO since 1979, offers a magical setting. Giraffes, elephants, birds, lions, arm yourself with your best binoculars for an experience rich in sensations.

Yaoundé or the city of wild boars is the Political Capital of Cameroon and the second largest city in the Central African state. A very lively city, take part in the many local festivities offered by the Capital.
