Nationals of the following countries are exempt from the visa requirement: Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Mali, Nigeria and Nigeria. CEMAC countries. Travellers of these nationalities can enter the country without a visa, on presentation of an ordinary passport.

Is the e-Visa process different depending on my nationality?

All nationalities eligible for the e-Visa can apply online. It may be possible to visit an immigration office or consular post to finalize the application. This formality is only carried out if you live near a Cameroonian immigration office. In this case, if it is not possible for you to travel and organize a meeting with the Cameroonian authorities, your travel authorization will be sent by email in electronic format. Your e-Visa must be presented to the authorities when you arrive on site.

Currently, you can only enter Cameroon by air, through Douala or Yaoundé-Nsimalen international airport. A stamp will be placed on your passport by immigration and this will correspond to your final visa. The length of stay is well controlled and must be respected.

The processing time for an electronic visa application may vary depending on the file and the type of visa chosen. For most requests, processing is fairly quick, and it takes  business days. Indeed, the authorities decide on the validity period of your travel document. Some requests may take longer, and authorities may verify certain information. The processing time is the same, depending on each nationality. For rapid processing and without processing delays, it is important to carefully verify your personal data on the form. All data in your passport must be entered correctly. Your name, passport number, nationality and country of birth are the most important information.
