Under the agreements concluded between Cameroon and the member states of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) as well as with Switzerland, these countries have benefited from a visa exemption to stay in Cameroon.

Created in 1994, the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) aims to promote economic and monetary integration among its member countries. CEMAC is made up of two main institutions:

Nationals of CEMAC member countries – i.e. Congo🇨🇬, THE Gabon🇬🇦, there Equatorial Guinea🇬🇶, there Central African Republic🇨🇫 and the Chad🇹🇩 – are now exempt from visa to enter Cameroon. They can simply travel to that country with a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months after their planned trip.

In addition to CEMAC countries, Swiss citizens holders of an official passport will also benefit from this visa exemption. This measure facilitates travel between these countries and encourages economic and cultural exchanges.

However, tourists, business travelers and members of the diaspora from other countries must obtain a e-Visa to enter Cameroon. This electronic visa is available for around 150 countries and was launched in April 2023 to simplify the process of obtaining visas without having to visit an embassy or consulate.

To obtain an e-Visa for Cameroon, simply complete an online form and upload the following supporting documents:

Consular fees are set at at least 167,00 € for an e-Visa valid for up to 6 months, allowing the holder to stay in the country for up to 180 days.

Under the agreements concluded between Cameroon and the member states of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) as well as with Switzerland, these countries have benefited…

[1
