THE Cameroon<\/strong> recently announced a major reform concerning the entry of certain Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa<\/strong> (CEMAC<\/strong>) and the Switzerland<\/strong>. Nationals of these countries can now enter Cameroon without having to apply for a visa beforehand, a decision designed to simplify travel and foster relations between these countries. To formalise this exemption, however, it will be necessary to obtain a visa exemption certificate<\/strong>This facilitates the movement of the individuals concerned.<\/p>\n\n Recently, the Cameroonian government announced a significant measure affecting nationals of countries in the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa<\/strong> (CEMAC) and the Switzerland<\/strong>. Citizens of Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic and Chad no longer need a visa to enter Cameroon. This decision is aimed at strengthening regional trade and facilitating the movement of people within these nations.<\/p>\n\n To formalise this new provision, CEMAC nationals will have to obtain a visa exemption certificate<\/strong>. This document, issued by the Cameroonian embassy in France, will enable the citizens concerned to travel freely to Cameroon without having to worry about the complex administrative procedures often associated with obtaining a visa. This initiative is in line with the objectives of regional integration and facilitating travel between CEMAC member countries.<\/p>\n\n Created in 1994, the Central African Economic and Monetary Community<\/strong> The mission of the Economic Community of Central African States (CEMAC) is to promote the economic and monetary integration of its member states. Composed of six countries, CEMAC also includes Cameroon, and is structured around two main institutions: theCentral African Monetary Union<\/strong> (UMAC), responsible for managing the CFA franc<\/strong>and theCentral African Economic Union<\/strong> (UEAC), which works to harmonise financial and economic regulations within member countries.<\/p>\n\n By facilitating travel and eliminating administrative obstacles such as visas, this initiative can strengthen economic ties between the various Member States, fostering an environment conducive to business and cultural exchanges.<\/p>\n\n This new measure is not limited to the CEMAC countries, as it also benefits Swiss citizens. Holders of official passports, whether diplomatic or service<\/strong>They will also be able to enter Cameroon without a visa. This opening up will not only strengthen diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Cameroon, but will also encourage trade and cooperation in various areas such as development, education and tourism.<\/p>\n\n For nationals of other countries not covered by visa exemption, Cameroon also offers a e-Visa<\/strong>. This system enables around 150 different nationalities to apply for an e-Visa online, streamlining the process of entering the country. The e-Visa allows single or multiple entries for stays of up to 90 days.
